Rocky Roots, LLC is owned and operated by Tom Nile. Tom is a licensed Maine arborist, master pesticide applicator and DEP certified excavation contractor with over 20 years of experience in tree work and excavation.
Rocky Roots is fully insured and carries worker's compensation insurance to protect both our customers and employees. A certificate of insurance will be provided upon request.

Excavation Services
Proper excavation is crucial to any project, forming the base for your next step. At Rocky Roots our experience encompasses shorefront restoration - including retaining walls, replanting trees, or redirecting drainage. We also offer grading of home sites, creating or repairing of driveways, leach fields, stump removal and lawn/yard expansions & more.

Tom and his team did a massive job for me - close to 100 trees on a waterfront property. Tom met with me and worked with the town’s Conservation Dep’t to obtain the necessary permits, which involved several meetings onsite with the town. When it came time to do the work, he was always on time, friendly and professional. After felling and hauling the trees, he came back and grounded the stumps on a number of them. Tom always went above and beyond to make sure everything was cleaned up properly, even removing and hauling some of my branch/debris piles at no extra charge. Everything looks fantastic. I cannot recommend Tom and the crew at Rocky Roots more. If you need any tree work, from simple limbing to major jobs, they are the crew to call.
